Royal Canin Vet Diabetic Dry Dog Food is being replaced by Royal Canin Vet Glycobalance™ as part of Royal Canin’s ongoing developments in veterinary nutrition.

Royal Canin Vet Glycobalance Dry Dog Food features an optimised formula using algal oil as a more sustainable alternative to fish oil.

The new diet continues to provide the same key nutritional benefits as Royal Canin Diabetic, including:

• Glucomodulation
• High protein
• Low starch

There are no changes to the primary protein sources or overall nutritional performance.

The outgoing Diabetic range was not included in Royal Canin’s recent price increase because the Glycobalance replacement was already approaching. Glycobalance launches at Royal Canin’s current pricing.

Should I speak with my vet?
Yes. Because this is a prescribed veterinary diet used to support dogs with diabetes, we encourage you to speak with your vet before changing foods. Your vet can consider your dog’s health needs, medical history and current diabetes management.

How should I transition my dog to Glycobalance?
If your vet approves the change, transition gradually over a minimum of seven days to help support your dog’s digestion:

• Days one and two: 25% Glycobalance and 75% current food
• Days three and four: 50% Glycobalance and 50% current food
• Days five and six: 75% Glycobalance and 25% current food
• Day seven onwards: 100% Glycobalance

Always follow your vet’s advice if they recommend a different transition plan.
