PetDirect.co.nz may run promotional discounts (also referred to as sale, promotions, offers) for a set period of time.
- Promotional discount applies to the full recommended retail price (RRP).
- The ‘Promotional Period’ may be stated on PetDirect.co.nz’s website, email communications, or social media posts. Where no promotional period is specified, check product listing for the current pricing.
- Promotional discounts are not valid in conjunction with any other promotional offers unless stated otherwise and cannot be applied to previous purchases.
- Promotional offers may be limited to certain brands, categories, or products and are subject to change without notice due to supply issues or other unforeseen circumstances.
- All promotional offers exclude existing AutoDeliveries and Vet Diets unless stated otherwise. The AutoDelivery Policy applies for new sign ups.
- Products advertised in a sale are available while stocks last, no rain checks.
- Clearance stock are excluded from sales.
PetDirect.co.nz Ltd may occasionally have promotional codes (also referred to as promo codes, coupon code or voucher) associated with a promotional discount.
- Promotional codes must be entered at checkout in the ‘Promo code’ field prior to completing your order for the discount to apply to the order.
- Some promotional codes may be from third parties or provided through suppliers and may run for a set period of time. This should be stated on the voucher or coupon containing the code.
- Promotional codes are not valid in conjunction with any other promotions unless stated otherwise.
- Promotional codes can only be used once per customer.
- Promotional codes cannot be applied to previously placed orders.
- Promotional codes, vouchers, and coupons are non-transferable and cannot be redeemable for cash or credit, unless stated otherwise.

- PetDirect.co.nz reserves the right to modify, delay, or cancel a promotional code without notice and cancel an order using the promotional code at any time at its sole discretion due to (but not limited to) misuse or fraud.
First AutoDelivery Promotion
PetDirect.co.nz may offer a promotional discount on the First AutoDelivery order on selected brands from time to time.
- The First AutoDelivery promotional discount applies to customers setting up an AutoDeliver order for the first time. The AutoDelivery Policy applies for new sign ups.
- The First AutoDelivery discount applies to the full recommended retail price (RRP) and is subject to change without notice due to supply issues or unforeseen circumstances.
- Selected products and brands included in the First AutoDelivery Promotion are subject to change without notice. It is recommended that customers check the product listing for the current pricing.
- PetDirect.co.nz reserves the right to cancel an order with the First AutoDeliver discount at any time at its sole discretion due to misuse or ineligibility.
- The First AutoDelivery order will be delivered in accordance with Section 6 of PetDirect.co.nz Terms & Conditions.
- If you are not satisfied with the products in a First AutoDeliver order, the PetDirect.co.nz Returns Policy applies.
Social Media Competitions
- PetDirect.co.nz Ltd, from time to time, may conduct a ‘social media competition’ (also referred to as giveaways) on their social media accounts as @petdirect.co.nz
- PetDirect.co.nz Ltd is “the promoter” of social media competitions. From time to time, a ‘Third Party Promoter’ may partner with PetDirect.co.nz to undertake a social media competition.
- By participating and/or entering into a social media competition, or interacting with social media posts, it is considered acceptance of these terms and conditions.
- Only New Zealand residents over the age of 13 years or older are eligible to take part in social media competitions and are to be referred to as ‘Eligible Entrants’.
- Eligible Entrants may enter once to be in to win the prize specified in the competition post description. If multiple entries are permitted, this will be stated in the post description.
- Eligible entrants must provide their first name, last name, email address or contact number, and a New Zealand postal delivery address.
- No purchase is required to enter into the competition unless stated otherwise in post description; however, your entry must meet all criteria to be an eligible entry.
3. Entry Period
- The social media competition will run for a specified period of time known as ‘Competition Period’. The competition period will be stated in the competition post description. No entries will be accepted before the start or after the competition period.
- The Promoter takes responsibility for lost, misdirected entries or for inaccurate information that may have been supplied or not supplied as a result of delays or failures in any equipment, technical error, deletion of data entry, transmission communication, software failure, website access or any other cause outside their control.
- The Promoter or Third Party Promoter reserves the right to amend or delay the competition period without notice due to unforeseen circumstances.
4. How to enter
- Eligible entrants can only submit one entry on either Instagram or Facebook. Multiple entries across Instagram or Facebook will be considered as one entry only into the competition. Additional entries will be void.
- Eligible entries can visit PetDirect.co.nz Facebook page or Instagram account and follow the instructions listed in the competition post description.
- You do not need to purchase or be a customer of PetDirect.co.nz Ltd, unless stated otherwise in the competition post description.
5. Prize draw and notification
- Eligible entries into the competitions will be in to win the specified prize stated in the social media post description.
- Eligible entries will be assigned a random number and the winner will be selected through a random number generator, unless stated otherwise in post description.
- The winner or winners will be selected within 48 hours of the competition period. PetDirect.co.nz reserves the right to delay selection of a winner or winners.
- The Facebook winner will be contacted within 48 hours of the competition period ending through a reply to comment on post and/or directly through Facebook Messenger app, unless otherwise stated in the post description.
- The Instagram winner will be contacted within 48 hours of the competition period ending through a reply to comment on post and/or directly through Instagram Direct message app, unless otherwise stated in the post description.
- The winner must respond to PetDirect.co.nz through Facebook Messenger or Instagram Direct with the required information as stated in section 2.3 to claim the prize.
- If the winner or winners do not respond to claim prize within 24 hours, the Promoter may redraw winners following the above process.
- If the specified prize cannot be provided to the winner, the Promoter will notify the winner and provide a prize of equal value to the winner where appropriate.
- The Promoter reserves the right to verify each winner’s entry and to disqualify any entrant who tampers with or subvert the competition, including but not limited to acting or attempting to act in a fraudulent or dishonest manner.
- Competitions run through PetDirect.co.nz’s social media accounts are in no way endorsed, sponsored or administrated by Facebook or Instagram.
- @PetDirect.co.nz is the offical Instagram account and @PetDirect.co.nz is the official Facebook page.
- The Promoter reserves the right to amend, update, or change any of the terms applying to social media competitions or modify, terminate, reschedule the social media competition at any time.
- The Promoter decisions on relation to the social media competition are final and correspondence will be entered into.
- The Promoter, their related companies and their officers, directors, shareholders, employees, advisors, assignees, licensees, representatives, advertising and promotional agencies shall not be liable for any loss, damage or personal injury (including but not limited to direct, indirect or consequential loss) suffered by any person arising directly or indirectly out of or in connection with entering the social media competition or claiming, winning or using any prize, except as required by law.
Charitable Donation Policy
PetDirect.co.nz from time to time may donate stock to charitable organisations. This policy applies to these donations and gifts.
- Donations and gifts are made at the discretion of PetDirect.co.nz to charitable organisations working with animals, predominantly kittens, cats, puppies and dogs.
- Collection and distribution to third parties of donated/gifted goods is the responsibility of receiving charity, unless otherwise agreed upon.
- Donated/gifted goods can include, but is not limited to, promotional stock, short-dated stock, recently expired stock, or damaged goods.
- Charitable organisations that receive donated goods and share photos of donated goods on social media should tag @petdirect.co.nz social media accounts and/or include a link to www.petdirect.co.nz
- Charitable organisations seeking donated or gifted goods can reach out on email@example.com for consideration.
Referral codes are generated for customers who create accounts (referred to as Members) with PetDirect.co.nz.
- Referral codes including, but not limited to, ‘refer a friend’ and ‘influencer’ codes can only be used once per customer and are not valid in conjunction with any other offer.
- There is a limit of 10 referrals allowed. Referral codes expire within 6 months of the date it is generated and issued.
- A minimum spend of $80 (on behalf of the referred) needs to be met for the referral code to apply.
- The $10 will be applied as store credit to your account on your next purchase.
- PetDirect reserves the right to cancel customer referral credits/coupons at any time.
- Coupons found to be placed on websites and/or deemed by PetDirect to be used outside the context of a friend or influencer referral will be cancelled by PetDirect, alongside any outstanding account credits/balances resulting from such usage.
- Credits cannot be applied to one household more than once.
Subscribe & Win Email Newsletter SignUp
New customers who subscribe to PetDirect.co.nz email newsletters will automatically be entered into the draw to win $100 PetDirect credit. New customers can sign up through the lightbox form on our website or through completing a purchase for the first time with a new email during the given month.
- PetDirect.co.nz will randomly draw a winner from a list of new customer emails that have subscribed in the given month.
- The winner will be randomly drawn within the first 10 days of the following month (e.g. May winner drawn in first 10 days of June).
- The winner will be contacted by the Customer Care team through the email address provided when signing up. If a number can be located directly linked to the email address used during sign up, the customer care team may call to notify winner in addition to an email.
- The winner must acknowledge the communication before the credit is applied to their account associated with the email.
- The winner will receive $100 PetDirect credit that must be used to purchase goods on PetDirect.co.nz, and is not be redeemable for cash.
- PetDirect.co.nz reserves the right to re-draw a winner or cancel the credit where fraudulent activity is suspected.
- PetDirect.co.nz reserves the right to pause or stop the competition at anytime without notice.
Pet Profile Gift Card Competition
You will receive one entry for the first pet profile that you add to your account. If you delete this profile and add another profile, you will not receive another entry. Every month, PetDirect will draw a winner from the Pet Profiles added within that month, who will be notified by email. $200 of Pet Direct Credit will be added to that customers account. This credit must be used to purchase goods on PetDirect, and will not be redeemable for Cash. PetDirect reserves the right to stop the competition at any time.
